Terms & Conditions

POTTER’s WHEEL CLASSES & EVENTS

Please understand that we need accurate information about your event to adequately staff the studio and schedule other groups before/after yours. If any information changes at any time, contact us right away so we can better serve both you and our other studio guests.
By registering for the Potter’s Wheel at The Mud Room, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

** UPDATES DUE TO COVID PROTOCOLS **

  • One non-participating adult chaperone is welcome if all painters are under the age of 18.

  • Food is not allowed in the studio at this time.

  • On the date of your event, if anyone in your group is or has recently been ill please contact the studio immediately. Should the studio become unavailable or you need to cancel your reservation due to COVID-19 or executive orders, we will happily reschedule your event one time to a later date or apply your pre-paid amount to the purchase of any paint-at-home projects within 30 days.

  • By visiting The Mud Room or making a reservation you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

NUMBER OF GUESTS
• Our studio has 6 wheels and can accommodate up to 12 participants. Large groups will share wheels and take turns.
• Due to space restrictions, we reserve the right to charge $10/person for additional guests who are attending but not creating a project. If the studio is at capacity, we may also be required to ask non-participating guests to leave the studio in order to ensure the safety of our guests and allow our staff to best serve those creating projects.

FINISHED ITEMS
• Finished items will be bagged and stored for pickup under the name of the person who made the reservation.
• If you did not add color during your wheel visit you may return to the main studio after two weeks to do so. Walk-in during Open Studio hours or make a reservation for guaranteed seating.
(Note: table reservation fees are an extra service and not included in the cost of your class).
• Wheel pots will be ready to pick up in approximately two weeks.
• Please pick up projects within 30 days of your pickup due date. Your pickup date will be given to you at checkout.

PHOTOGRAPHY
• Occasionally our staff may take photos of guests and/or their creations. By agreeing to these Terms & Conditions, you also give The Mud Room permission to photograph any attendees at your party or their artwork, and the right to use, publish, reproduce and disseminate any photograph or other likeness of any guests or artwork obtained in connection with your visit to the studio without pay or compensation to you or any guests attending.

PRICING
• Class fees must be paid in full in advance and include instruction, throwing time, clay, glazing, and firing.
• Each guest will make one pot, unless a course or event states otherwise. Time to create more than one pot cannot be guaranteed in advance and would be subject to instructor approval and additional charges.
• PRIVATE APPOINTMENTS: After your original booking you may be able to add additional guests up to 72 hours in advance for $45/person plus tax (max. 12 total students). Contact our studio manager for pre-approval and further instructions.
• SALES TAX is not included.

PAYMENTS
• Class begins promptly at your reserved time; any guests more than 10 minutes late will forfeit their spot and considered a “no-show”. Your class will not be extended to accommodate late participants, as our instructors need adequate time to clean up and prepare for the next class.
• Payments are non-refundable and will be forfeited for cancellations or no-shows. We may not be able to accommodate rescheduling requests received less than 10 days in advance.

FOOD & DRINKS
• Non-alcoholic drinks are allowed but must be contained to the table provided.
