Register for Camp Mud
Schedule a visit
The clay studio isn't available for walk-ins during regular studio hours, so be sure to schedule your visit in advance! Choose one of our scheduled classes {below} or make an appointment for a small group. Class dates and details are also listed on our calendar of events.
Create it!
On the Potters Wheel: Spin a ball of clay to form a bowl, cup, or other small vessel, like the dishes shown above.
Clay Sculpture: Use your hands to mold and manipulate the wet clay. You can sculpt the clay into a variety of shapes, like the giraffe pictured above right.
Design and decorate
We have special underglazes than can be applied to wet clay, so you can paint your projects the same day! Otherwise, you may choose to have your clay project fired to "bisque," then return later to paint it in our Pottery Painting studio. Please keep in mind the $7 studio fee may apply for your return visit if you select this option.
Leave it with us
Leave your wheel-thrown pot or clay project to be fired in our kiln.

FAQ's
• Classes last 1 to 2 hours depending on age group and number of students.
• Ages 4-6 must be supervised by an adult; ages 7+ may be dropped off for Camp Mud and Clay Day sessions.
• The price includes instruction, up to 3 pounds of clay and everything else you need to complete one piece,
but does not include sales tax
• You may make a 2nd project in the same visit for $15 plus tax (applied per person)
• Prepayment will reserve your appointment. Payments are non-refundable for cancellations.
• A 10-day advance notice is required to reschedule for any reason.
